EAST LAMPUNG – A village head (Kades) in East Lampung, identified by his initials HK, has been successfully apprehended following an incident where he allegedly hacked a resident on a plantation road in Dusun III, Batu Badak Village, Marga Sekampung.
Confirming the arrest, the Head of the East Lampung Resort Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Chief Commissioner Stefanus Reinaldo Fajar Nuswantoro Boyoh, stated, “It is true, the perpetrator, identified as HK, who is the village head, has been successfully secured.”
Commissioner Stefanus further elaborated that HK has been designated as a suspect after thorough examination and the collection of sufficient evidence. “Based on the case review and ample evidence, HK has been named a suspect. HK has also admitted to committing the criminal act of assault against the victim,” he added.
In addition to the perpetrator, authorities also successfully seized one sharp weapon, a machete, as evidence.
For his actions, the perpetrator is being charged under Article 351, Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Indonesian Criminal Code.
Chronology of the Incident
The incident occurred on Monday, July 7, 2025, around 2:30 PM Western Indonesia Time. The victim, identified by the initials AB (45), was allegedly attacked by the village head, HK, on a plantation road in Dusun III, Batu Badak Village, Marga Sekampung.
Commissioner Stefanus confirmed the occurrence of the incident, stating, “It is true, yesterday (Monday, July 7, 2025), an assault occurred on the plantation road in Dusun III, Batu Badak Village, Marga Sekampung, East Lampung.”
Commissioner Stefanus explained that the incident began when the victim, the perpetrator, and other residents were gathered at a resident’s house in Dusun II. “According to witness statements, the victim AB and HK had an argument, after which the victim AB immediately left. The perpetrator (HK) is the village head,” he concluded.
