Faktain News – JAKARTA – The State Secretary Minister (Mensesneg), Prasetyo Hadi, confirmed that his office is currently processing a Presidential Decree (Keppres) for the dismissal of Listyo Sigit Prabowo from his position as Chief of Staff to the President (KSP). This action comes after Mr. Prabowo was officially designated a suspect in connection with alleged illegal wiretapping targeting the telephone numbers of President Prabowo Subianto and several other prominent figures.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, Mr. Hadi stated, “The Presidential Decree for Listyo’s dismissal is being processed.”

Investigation into Illegal Interceptions Intensifies

The National Police Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri) has identified three individuals as suspects in the illicit surveillance operation against President Prabowo Subianto’s mobile phone, among others. The illicit activities reportedly extended to a range of other prominent individuals.

Commissioner General of Police Asep Safrudin, Head of Bareskrim Polri, disclosed that the investigative team has named three suspects in this unauthorized wiretapping case. They include a police officer identified by the initials LSP, along with ASN and EH. It has been confirmed that the active police officer, LSP, is former National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The other suspects have been identified as Ahrie Sonta Nasution (ASN) and Eko Hadi (EH).

In addition to the three suspects, law enforcement authorities are also conducting intensive examinations of one witness, identified by the initials SU.

Unraveling the Case and Evidence Collection

The case began to unfold following an illegal directive issued in October 2026 to delete files containing wiretapping results. An officer aware of this instruction courageously reported the incident to the relevant authorities on October 30, 2026.

Responding promptly to the report, Bareskrim initiated a comprehensive and in-depth investigation. Police officials have questioned at least ten witnesses and engaged thirty expert witnesses to strengthen the legal evidence.

During the field operations, investigators secured significant electronic evidence, as detailed by Commissioner General Asep Safrudin at the Bareskrim National Police Headquarters in Jakarta. “From the results of field operations, investigators seized a number of electronic pieces of evidence, including 11 mobile phones, an iPad, and 4 flash drives, which are strongly suspected of being used to store interception documents,” he explained.

The investigation has further revealed that this unauthorized wiretapping was not limited to the President’s inner circle and state officials. It also targeted a broad spectrum of individuals, including:

  • Political figures
  • Media personnel
  • Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
  • Community organizations (Ormas)
  • National entrepreneurs
